Working under Dr. Scott Applebaum, in the Edmands Lab, I have had the privilege to understand how physiology-based research can help us understand so much about organisms and how they interact with their environment. My time working in the Edmands Lab, as both an undergraduate and graduate student, has allowed me to further my laboratory skills, learn many new skills, and attempt to answer the burning questions about these marine copepods I formed throughout my time working with them. From taking care of the populations to studying the new cultures we had made, I not only learnt invaluable skills but also found the fields I was passionate about.
